Nowra Alive aims to breathe life back into the Nowra CBD through a number of initiatives including public street art to bring colour and vibrancy to places, with a focus on laneways and disused spaces. Council's investment in this type of program is born out of transforming the cultural identity of Nowra by telling stories through art. THOROUGH_FAIR is a project which has turned a disused driveway into a 'Live Gallery Walk' and included internationally renowned street artist Guido Van Helten to depict an historical photo taken by the late Jeff Carter in 1955 of a fisherman mending a fishing net at Greenwell Point.

The vision is for Nowra to have a network of sites that will form a 'Live Gallery Walk' across the city that can be marketed nationally and internationally.
